“Which is the best Harry Potter experience in the world?” depends on what you want from it. London has the real film studio; Orlando, Hollywood and Osaka have theme parks. They are different kinds of day, and many fans end up doing both.

Why fans rate London first
Nothing in the parks is the actual thing. At Leavesden you stand in the Great Hall where the feasts were shot, walk through the real Hogwarts Express carriages and see the castle model used for every aerial shot. One reviewer put it plainly: it is “more educational about the making of the films and a museum of film artifacts.” That is exactly its strength. Tokyo now has a sister Studio Tour on the same model, but London is the original.
Where to see Hogwarts in real life
The castle you see on screen is a blend of sets, the model and real British buildings. The Studio Tour has the Great Hall set and the 1:24 model. In Oxford, Christ Church’s staircase and dining hall inspired and appeared in the films, and the Bodleian Library stood in for parts of Hogwarts; the Oxford + Studio day trip pairs them. Alnwick Castle in Northumberland hosted the first flying lesson, and the cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral and Lacock Abbey doubled as school corridors.

If you are in London, the Studio Tour is the essential stop, and a far cheaper one than a park trip. If you want rides, the parks deliver what London deliberately does not. For the London visit, start with whether the tour suits you and then compare the tickets.
